Good news for Balochistani students: scholarships for students in the province have been announced by the Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP).

Speaking on Friday at Oxford University's annual May Dinner & Fundraiser at the Lady Margaret Hall, Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti announced the launch of a new graduate scholarship that will enable a worthy student from Balochistan to study STEM at the university.

The effort, according to the CM, is a vital step toward educational equality and the empowerment of Balochistani youth, who will be the province's next generation of leaders. It also reflects the CM's commitment to these goals.

It should be mentioned that the OPP is the first academic program of its kind. It was created to increase the number of Pakistani researchers and students enrolled in prestigious international universities, and it has grown to be the biggest academic platform outside of Pakistan with a Pakistani focus.

It has grown to be the largest academic platform outside of Pakistan with a focus on Pakistan since its founding three years ago.

About 150 distinguished guests attended the event, including Malala Yousafzai, the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Sarfaraz Bugti, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Aamir Ibrahim, Mohammed Khaishgi, Farouq Sheikh OBE, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, Professor Kamal Munir, Farmida Bi CBE, Senator Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, Sarwar Khawaja, and senior academics and administrators from various universities.
An annual strategic advisory board meeting was held in advance of the annual dinner, providing an opportunity for debate on the future orientations of the OPP. Topics covered included post-study career options for scholars, accessibility measures, and scholarship availability.

Prominent members of the LMH development team, as well as the academic and corporate sectors in Pakistan and Britain, attended the discussion. They discussed strategies for the OPP and looked into possible joint ventures.

Notably, Khawaja revealed his kind donation of £100,000 to start this endowment fund on the announcement of the introduction of an endowment model for OPP, and this was approved with great enthusiasm.

It should be mentioned that Malala, the education champion, announced scholarships for Palestinian youngsters at this same ceremony.
