FIA calls the pinnacle PTI leaders over Imran's contentious X post on Dhaka's collapse:

Development follows the conflicting remarks made by PTI leaders.

Three additional Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) politicians received notices from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday, following statements made by many PTI leaders the day before regarding the controversy surrounding a video about the fall of Dhaka in 1971 that was posted from the party founder's X account.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan, Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan, and Information Secretary Raoof Hasan have been called to appear before the investigative agency on Wednesday at 11 a.m., as per the notifications.
The deposed prime minister was named in the contentious post on X, a platform that was once Twitter. It said, "Every Pakistani should study the Hamood ur Rahman Commission Report and get to know who was the true traitor, General Yahya Khan or Sheikh Mujibur Rahman."
The PTI founder, who is still being held at Adiala jail, was notified by the FIA's Cyber Crime Reporting Center on Thursday that an action was being taken against him for his controversial tweet. The former prime minister, however, had declined to meet with the agency's anti-cybercrime team and participate in the investigation into his contentious social media post. The FIA had expressed disapproval of the alleged "misuse" of Imran's verified X account, which was used to share "highly obnoxious and inciting content against state institutions."
The notification said that the aforementioned post was “likely to cause fear or alarm in the public and may induce/provoke anyone to commit an offence against the state or state institution or public tranquility.” A copy of the notice is available with Geo News.
In the interest of justice, the PTI three were ordered to appear in person before FIA Sub-Inspector Muhammad Monib Zafar on Wednesday at the FIA Cyber Crime Reporting Center to record their statements in defense.
The notice referred to Pakistan Penal Code Section 174 (non-attendance in response to an order from a public worker) and stated, "In case of non-appearance, proceedings u/s 174 PPC. will be initiated against you."
It should be mentioned that the PTI's members, including its three senior leaders, Ali Muhammad Khan, and Zain Qureshi, a member of the National Assembly, appeared perplexed as to whether to support or reject the contentious post from the founder's X handle.
Ali Muhammad Khan, a party politician, commented on the dubious X tweet on Friday, claiming that Imran Khan was not aware of it and has made the decision to "personally approve" social media posts going forward.
The imprisoned former premier and the contentious video that was uploaded to his verified X account have been distanced by the PTI MP. The video received harsh criticism from several sources, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Barrister Gohar, meanwhile, claimed that given the state of politics at the time, the video was shared on Imran's X account.
Conversely, Hasan initially insisted on an inquiry being conducted before retracting his claim that he had not seen the video.
The party's core committee announced in a statement the day before that they had rejected the FIA's investigation into Imran's social media post, following a barrage of criticism. It further stated that it would be inappropriate to file a fresh lawsuit against the PTI founder in response to a social media post.
